Corus Studios has commissioned a pair of renovation-focused series, Pamela Anderson’s Home Reno Project (8 x 60 minutes) and Hoarder House Flippers (6 x 60 minutes), for HGTV Canada.

The former sees Anderson return to her Canadian roots on Vancouver Island to transform her late grandmother’s abandoned property into a place she can call home. Corus has not named its production partner at press time, although a spokesperson told Playback Daily the production company tied to the project will be named in due course.

Hoarder House Flippers follows real estate investors as they take on the most derelict hoarder spaces and transform them into money-making properties. The show is produced by Vancouver’s Anaïd Productions.

Both titles are being distributed internationally by Corus Studios and will air in 2022.

Elsewhere, Corus Studios has made an addition to its international sales team as it expands its global distribution business. Leyla Formoso has been hired to the role of sales representative for Latin America and select European territories.

Formoso, who has more than two decades of international sales, production, development and acquisitions experience, including more than 10 years with Nelvana, will work alongside Rita Carbone Fleury, who leads worldwide sales for Corus Studios.

The appointment comes as the international footprint for Corus Studios properties continues to grow. In the third quarter, season three of Island of Bryan was sold to Discovery-owned HGTV in the U.S., in addition to second seasons of Scott’s Vacation House Rules (13 x 60 minutes) and The Big Bake (18 x 60 minutes).

In other deals: seasons one and two of Island of Bryan were licensed to M6 in France; Foxtel in Australia acquired season three of Island of Bryan, as well as two seasons of Great Chocolate Showdown and the first season of Project Bakeover; Quebecor Content picked up the first season of Project Bakeover; and season two of Salvage Kings was acquired by A+E Networks for Poland, Romania, Sweden, the Middle East and Africa, and by Sky HISTORY in the U.K.
