Raja Khanna’s role expands as Dark Slope launches Lumeto

In addition to the launch of the new company, Dark Slope has secured $3 million in new capital through a funding round led by Mars IAF.

raja khannaToronto-based digital studio Dark Slope Studios has launched a new business unit focused on immersive learning and secured additional capital through a new funding round.

Housed under the Dark Slope banner, Lumeto is a new company focused on immersive training and assessment for the health care and public safety sectors.

Lumeto says its XR learning platform, Involve XR, is an open and flexible platform for “institutions looking to deploy data-driven, enterprise-grade, immersive training and assessment across their workforce.” Involve XR is tailored to institutions training frontline workers in the health care and public safety sectors. According to the company, it has signed agreements with partners representing more than 35,000 frontline workers.

Former Blue Ant Media TV head Raja Khanna, who currently serves as Dark Slope CEO, will see his remit expand to include CEO and co-founder of Lumeto.

In addition to the launch of the new company, Dark Slope has secured $3 million in new capital through a funding round led by Mars IAF. TELUS Ventures and Golden Ventures also invested in Dark Slope, bringing the total funding raised to $5.5 million.

Lumeto joins Dark Slope’s primary business unit, Dark Slope Studios, which is focused on virtual production producing across VR, linear TV and augmented reality.
