Saloon Media has entered production on the sophomore season of Hotel Paranormal, with Dan Aykroyd confirmed to return as narrator.
Shooting in Ontario under strict new COVID-19 guidelines, the Blue Ant-owned prodco said it expects to deliver the T+E original series this summer.
The 10-part, hour-long unscripted series features recreations and expert insights into tales of paranormal encounters around the world.
Hotel Paranormal has already weathered significant challenges related to the pandemic. During season-one production, Aykroyd had completed just one in-person narration before the onset of the pandemic in Canada. For the remainder, Aykroyd recorded in a remote studio, with Saloon principal Michael Kot and series producer Sarah Zammit directing him over video calls.
For Saloon Media, Kot and Betty Orr serve as executive producers and Zammit is the series producer. Dave Tebby and Simone Stock are directing season two, with Josh Pelham as the director of photography. Overseeing the series for T+E is Sam Linton, head of original content for Blue Ant’s Canadian channels.
