Blue Ant Media’s wildlife and nature brand Love Nature has promoted Alison Barrat to SVP of production and development.
In her new role, Barrat (pictured) provides a leading role in finding, developing and commissioning new projects for the brand’s slate and is responsible for executive programming strategies for its international channels.
She oversees all production management and post-production and serves as the main point of creative contact for both in-house and independent production companies, in addition to working with Love Nature’s programming, marketing, PR and sales teams.
The executive will continue to report to global general manager Carlyn Staudt from Love Nature’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Barrat joined Blue Ant in early 2018 as VP of production and development. Prior to Love Nature, she launched a specialist wildlife film production unit at the Living Oceans Foundation where she executive produced films for PBS, the Smithsonian Channel and CuriosityStream.
Over the last two decades she has written, produced and directed natural history and science programs for National Geographic Channel, Discovery Communications and PBS. Barrat’s experience also includes leadership roles in development and production with National Geographic Television.
