Professional wrestling series Dark Side of the Ring, produced VICE Studios Canada in partnership with Bell Media’s Crave, has been renewed for an expanded third season.
Brooklyn, NY-based network VICE TV commissioned 14 new episodes of the series, which exposes some of the brutal truths and tragic stories from the world of professional wrestling. Season one ran for six episodes, while season two ran for 10.
Viewership has grown consistently during the first two seasons, with Dark Side of the Ring becoming the highest-rated series on VICE TV earlier this year, according to the network. VICE TV said viewership for season two grew 73% among 18-49 year-old viewers and 52% among 2+ viewers compared to the first season. The first two seasons were narrated by Canadian professional wrestler Chris Jericho, though details of the third season remain under wraps.

Other EPs on the series include Vanessa Case, Catherine Whyte and Lee Hoffman.
