CMF signs audiovisual agreement with Argentina’s INCAA

Signed during this week's Canadian Heritage trade mission to Latin America, the deal will see the organizations establish a co-development incentive program.

The CMF and Argentina’s Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA) have inked an agreement to strengthen audiovisual collaboration between the two countries.

Signed during this week’s Canadian Heritage trade mission to Latin America, the deal will see the organizations work together to promote the development and production of animated TV series, digital content and genres like fiction and documentary. The organizations will also establish an incentive program for the development of TV and multimedia projects. Additional details about the incentive were not available at press time.

Aimed at furthering Canadian companies opportunities and understanding of Latin American business practices, more than 35 companies went on Canadian Heritage’s second trade mission. The group traveled to Argentina, Mexico and Colombia, with the mission wrapping on Feb. 19. This trade mission follows Canadian Heritage’s 2018 mission to China under then Canadian Heritage Minister Melanie Joly, which saw $125 million in deals facilitated.
