Patrick Roy (pictured) will take oversight of eOne’s global theatrical distribution business next year after the departure of U.K.-based Alex Hamilton.

Hamilton, who currently holds the title of president, international, film, for Europe and Australia/New Zealand, will step down in March after 10 years with the company. With the departure, Roy, who has been eOne’s president, international, film, for North America since 2016, will now oversee Hamilton’s former territories. Roy will remain based in Toronto and Montreal in the expanded role. He will continue to lead Les Films Séville as president.

Earlier in his eOne tenure, Roy served solely as president of Les Films Séville before his role was expanded to include all of Canada in 2015. He has overseen the theatrical release of hit Canadian titles including Bon Cop Bad Cop and De père en flic, as well as their sequels.
