Corus is crossing over for the holidays, bringing together assets from multiple divisions and companies for a new holiday special.
How to Holiday with Jordin Sparks and Friends was developed by Corus Tempo, the company’s in-house marketing and creative agency, for Kellogg’s. It is the first original Canadian production from Kin, the lifestyle entertainment company in which Corus has a stake.
How to Holiday features six Canadian Kin talents, brand integration from Kellogg’s Rice Krispies, and will debut on linear channel Food Network Canada.
Hosted by recording artist and baker Sparks, the series features Yolanda Gampp of How to Cake It, Sara Lynn Cauchon of The Domestic Geek, Cheryl Torrenueva of Simply Cher Cher, Matt Basile of Fidel Gastro, and Lauren Toyota of hot for food. It airs at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1.
In what Corus says is a first for Canadian production, each of the social-media influencers produce, film and edit their own segments, with Kin acting as executive producer.
The series will premiere on Dec. 1 and Corus will air the special across a number of its other broadcast properties, with encore screenings of the special are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. on W Network and Saturday, Dec. 8 at 12 p.m. ET on Global.
