Larissa Giroux joins OAZ as talent manager

The former CFC programs department exec returns to the talent agency where she began her career.

Larissa Giroux is joining Oscars Abrams Zimel & Associates (OAZ) as a talent manager.

In the new role, Giroux will represent actors, writers, directors and composers at the Toronto and L.A.-based agency. She’ll be based in Toronto and report to partners Michael Oscars, Gayle Abrams, Perry Zimel and Daniel Abrams.

The move marks a homecoming of sorts for Giroux, who began her career at the front desk of OAZ before being promoted to Zimel’s assistant.

Starting at the CFC in 2009, she spent eight-and-a-half years at the institute, first as executive in charge of Actor Programs, and later executive in charge of Actor and Music Programs, before finally moving to associate director, Programs/Talent. Under her leadership, the CFC launched the Actors Conservatory and Slaight Family Music Lab. Giroux left the CFC in April.

Giroux is also a producer and casting director whose TV credits include credits include Kardia, The Tragic Story of Nling, Knockaround Guys and Soldier’s Girl. 

OAZ’s roster of clients includes Christopher Plummer, Andrea Martin, Wendy Crewson, Kim Coates, Victor Garber, and Mark McKinney.
