On June 27, the Canadian Film Centre (CFC) celebrated its 30th anniversary at its annual garden party. Founder Norman Jewison kicked off the festivities with an emotional speech looking back at the organization’s successes, and was later joined by CFC board chair Christina Jennings and CEO Slawko Klymkiw to blow out the candles on the CFC’s birthday cake. Between Slaight Resident performances and small talk in the CFC garden, attendees also tried out augmented and virtual reality demos from four CFC Media Lab companies.
