Half-hour Australian comedy series The Other Guy (6 x 30 minutes) has been picked up Super Channel in Canada and Hulu in the U.S.

Produced by Aquarius Films and Entertainment One TV Australia, the project is an original series made for Australian SVOD service Stan. Created by and starring comedian Matt Okine, the series is about a radio DJ who finds himself back on the dating scene after he discovers his girlfriend has been having an affair with his best friend.

Hulu will begin streaming the series on June 28, while it debuts on Super Channel on Aug. 13.

The series also stars Valene Kane (The Fall, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Harriet Dyer (No Activity), Marg Downey (Fast Forward), Christiaan van Vuuren (Soul Mates), Adam Briggs (Cleverman) and performer Amali Golden (Australian Idol).

The first season of the show was directed by Kacie Anning (Fragments of Friday). Production investment funding from Screen Australia and Create NSW. Development on season two is now underway with Stan and Create NSW.
