marblemedia’s Just Like Mom and Dad has been renewed for a second season by YES TV in Canada and BYUtv in the U.S.
The broadcasters have ordered an additional 22 episodes, which are set to launch in the fall. The family game show features three teams of parent/kid pairs competing in two interactive trivia rounds and a final bake-off round. The 20-episode first season, hosted by Sandy Jobin-Bevans and Kylee Evans, premiered in January. Season two will feature older kids, between the ages of eight and 15, with casting currently underway.
Producers on the series are Mark Bishop, Matt Hornburg, Steve Sloan and Stephen Turnbull, alongside Lorna Dueck for YES TV, Jim Bell for BYUtv, Randy Lennox and Mike Cosentino for Bell Media, and Adam Ivers for Omnicom’s Highway Entertainment.
In addition to the new episodes, marblemedia’s Just Like Mom and Dad mobile game will be updated to include a new in-game announcement system, a new block of challenges and additional prizes for winners.
The original game show aired for five seasons on Bell Media’s CTV. marblemedia has secured all production and distribution rights from Bell Media, with marblemedia’s Distribution360 handling worldwide program and format distribution, along with digital and ancillary rights.
