Entertainment One (eOne) has acquired New York-based live entertainment production company Round Room Entertainment.
Round Room will support the development of IP for live shows and concert touring and work with eOne’s artist management team to extend artists’ audience reach and fan loyalty.
The company, which focuses on live entertainment for family content and special events, is headed up by co-presidents Stephen Shaw and Jonathan Linden. They will report to eOne global president, music, Chris Taylor.
eOne and Round Room previously collaborated on the PJ Masks live tour experience in 2017. Produced by Round Room and based on eOne’s CGI-animated preschool series PJ Masks, the live stage production featured new music and aerobatics. The tour completed its initial run in the U.S. late last year and will continue in 2018 with dates in Australia and the US.
Linden and Shaw previously worked on tours for the Rolling Stones, Barbra Streisand and Oprah Winfrey, as well as Broadway productions such as Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark and Rock of Ages. Prior to Round Room, Linden and Shaw served as president and CEO respectively of S2BN Entertainment, a live entertainment company founded by promoter and producer Michael Cohl.
