Filmmakers and critics came together to celebrate the year’s best movies at the Toronto Film Critics Association’s annual awards gala on Jan. 9 at The Carlu in Toronto. Hosted by TIFF artistic director Cameron Bailey, one of the big winners of the night was filmmaker Ashley McKenzie, who took home the $100,000 Rogers Best Canadian Film Award for her feature debut Werewolf.
