True Gravity, Sideline ink development, production pact

The prodcos, based in Toronto and Dublin respectively, will coproduce scripted and unscripted TV projects under the deal.

warren campbell 2Toronto production company True Gravity Productions has inked a deal with Dublin, Ireland-based Sideline Productions to develop and produce television properties for the international marketplace.

Under the agreement, the prodcos will partner on both scripted and unscripted titles, with a trio of projects already in development.

Among those is Cemetery Cop, a dramedy based on the true story of a graveyard night security officer, and Dying to Fly, a factual adventure series exploring some of the earliest aviation races in history – including the first ever flight from Canada to Ireland. True Gravity and Sideline are also in development on the sitcom Bellevue Country Club, about an Irish couple that moves to small-town Quebec to manage a run-down golf course left to them in a family will.

The deal was negotiated and signed by True Gravity’s Warren Campbell (pictured) and Sideline’s Billy McGrath.

Last year, True Gravity signed a distribution and production pact with Paris-based company 10Francs. Under the deal, 10Francs is distributing True Gravity content in Europe, while the companies are also pursuing further copro opportunities.
