Forté Entertainment’s children’s series Snapshots has been nominated for the International Emmy Kids Awards.
The unscripted live-action series (6 x 30 minutes) was selected in the non-scripted entertainment category alongside TV Globo’s The Voice Kids (Brazil), SVT’s Vår Restaurang (Sweden) and Penguin Films and The Walt Disney Company’s Disney Cookabout (South Africa). The nominees were announced at a press conference during MIPCOM.
Co-created by Forte’s Andrea and Mitch Gabourie the series, in which kids compete to take the best picture ever, was greenlit by Kids’ CBC last year. The project was also optioned by Warner Bros International in New Zealand.
Also nominated in the TV movie/miniseries category is Hank Zipzer’s Christmas Catastrophe (U.K.), which is coproduced by Kindle Entertainment, DHX Media, Walker Productions and Screen Yorkshire’s Yorkshire Content Fund. Other projects nominated in the category are VPRO Television’s Alleen op de Wereld (Netherlands); Australian Children’s Television Foundation’s Little Lunch (Australia); and ABS-CBN’s Wansapanataym (Philippines).
The winners will be announced at MIPTV in Cannes on April 10, 2018.
