The Canada Media Fund is investing $5.5 million in 14 documentary projects, through its English Point-of-View program.

White Pine Pictures’ untitled feature doc received $367,500 and an additional $76,950 for its digital media component. Meanwhile, 90th Parallel Productions’ Nahanni: River of Forgiveness received $400,000 and $81,798 for its digital media component. Both projects are set to air on the Documentary Channel.

Other Documentary Channel programs that received funding are Sea to Sea Productions’ Conviction ($253,535; digital media: $76,875), which will also air on Radio-Canada and RDI; Les Productions’ Catbird’s Finding Sally ($293,736; digital media: $76,627); Kitab Productions’ Kandahar Away ($244,732; digital media: $78,386), Z Films’ The Aftermath ($244,109; digital media: $78,765), which will also air on RDI; Productions Films de l’Oeil’s Traffic  ($400,000; digital media: $80,250); Untying the Knot ($289,200; digital media: $75,638); Chiaro Productions’ Wheeler’s Everest ($320,177; digital media: $94,125); and Solar Dance Productions’ Who Farted? ($368,626; digital media: $77,408).

Meanwhile, Billy ($159,250; digital media: $140,985) will air on Knowledge Network, TVO and RDI; Play Nice Productions’ Met While Incarcerated ($264,041; digital media: $83,587) will air on CBC; and broadcasters aren’t yet set for DLI Productions’ The First to Stand ($387,100; digital media produced by Smiley Guy Studios: $75,000) or Goreau’s Ghosts ($383, 315).
