Corus Entertainment has cancelled three long-running series created by Vancouver-based Paperny Entertainment.

Yukon Gold (pictured), Timber Kings  and Chopped Canada have not been renewed, a spokesperson from Corus Entertainment confirmed to Playback sister publication, realscreen.

“After resonating with legions of fans, Chopped Canada, Timber Kings and Yukon Gold have reached their natural end and won’t be renewed for another season,” said Lisa Godfrey, VP, original content for Corus Entertainment, in an email. “The success that these series had is a true testament to our exceptionally talented production partners at Paperny Entertainment and eOne and Corus applauds the cast, creators, producers, and writers for their dedication to these Canadian originals.”

Godfrey added that Corus remains committed to developing Canadian content.

Chopped Canada, now in its fourth season, saw chef competitors race against the clock to turn mystery ingredients into a three-course meal.

Also in its fourth season, Timber Kings follows the men and women of Pioneer Log Homes in Williams Lake, B.C., as they make exquisite log homes around the world.

Yukon Gold follow four gold mining crews in Canada’s Yukon. The series is in its fifth season.

Toronto-based Entertainment One acquired Paperny Entertainment and Force Four Entertainment in 2014. In January, it announced plans to amalgamate the two prodcos under the eOne Television brand. As part of that process, it was announced that David Paperny, Paperny Entertainment founder and president, would leave his post on July 31.
