Lark Productions hires new VP, scripted

Veteran development exec Samantha Morris Mastai has been appointed to the newly created position, which is based in Toronto.

samantha mmVancouver’s Lark Productions has appointed Samantha Morris Mastai to the newly created position of VP, scripted.

Based in Toronto, the former executive in charge of development and production at CBC will work with creators and writers to oversee the development of Lark’s scripted projects. In addition, Morris Mastai will be charged with finding IP that can be developed for North American and international markets.

In the new role, she will report to Erin Haskett, Lark’s SVP, programming and corporate.

Morris Mastai previously served as executive in charge of development and production at Bell Media, where she was part of the team that oversaw CTV programming, including Saving HopeDegrassi and The Listener.

Lark Productions is the producer of series such as Motive (CTV), The Real Housewives of Toronto (Slice), The Council (CBC), and Emergency Room: Life + Death at VGH.
