Proper Television adds former Muse producer

Matt Mitchell joins the Toronto-based prodco as the company looks to promote its slate in the U.S.

matt mitchellToronto-based factual producer Proper Television has bolstered its development team with the addition of former Muse Entertainment development producer Matt Mitchell.

In his new role as a development producer at Proper Television, Mitchell (pictured) will be charged with promoting the Canadian company’s unscripted slate to the U.S. market.

Proper Television’s current factual stable includes CBC’s forthcoming docuseries True North Calling (6 x 30 minutes), Discovery Channel U.S.’s Vegas Rat Rods, CTV’s MasterChef Canada, Discovery Canada’s Tougher Than It Looks? and Canada’s Worst Driver.

At Muse, Mitchell was responsible for managing the development of all unscripted television projects from concept to network order while working with third party producers and execs to advance the development of copros for the international marketplace. 

Mitchell now joins development producer Mike Armitage and recently promoted development manager Brenda Myers.
