CMPA ups Warren Ross to VP, national industrial relations

Reporting to president and CEO Reynolds Mastin, Ross (pictured) will lead industrial labour negotiations on behalf of independent producers.

warren ross headshot 2015The Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) has upped Warren Ross to the role of VP, national industrial relations and senior counsel.

With the promotion, Ross will lead industrial labour negotiations on behalf of the CMPA, as well as managing operations within the CMPA’s national industrial relations department.

Ross will report to CMPA president and CEO, Reynolds Mastin.

“Maintaining a stable labour relations environment and a positive and respectful relationship with our union and guild partners are key functions of the CMPA – and Warren excels at both,” said Mastin in a statement.

Ross joined the organization in September 2011 in the role of senior director, national industrial relations and counsel. He previously served as a lawyer at Sherrard Kuzz LLP and before that as a judicial law clerk at the Federal Court of Canada.
