With the market wrapping this week, the Toronto and L.A.-based sales company has announced deals for The Adventure Club (pictured), Spark and more.

With the American Film Market in Santa Monica wrapping this week, Toronto and L.A.-based Double Dutch International has announced a number of deals for kid-friendly Canadian films.

DDI sold the world rights to Geoff Anderson’s The Adventure Club to Gravitas Ventures. Gravitas Ventures picked up U.S. and all remaining international territories for the film, which has already sold to Gulf Films for the Middle East, Fox for Pan Asia, East West for Poland, Tanweer for Turkey and M Net for South Africa.  IndieCan Entertainment has Canadian rights to the film, which opened in Canada earlier this fall.

The Adventure Club is produced by Trilight Entertainment’s Shayne Putzlocher, Glenn Paradis and Sara Shaak and Montague Entertainment’s Mark Montague. The films, which stars Billy Zane (Titanic) and Kim Coates (Goon: Last of the Enforcers), follows three 10-year-old best friends who discover an ancient wishbox.

In addition to The Adventure Club, DDI has sold the animated feature Spark to multiple territories.

The film, which was written and directed by Aaron Woodley, sold to Kaleidoscope for the U.K., California Films for Latin America, Eagle Films for the Middle East, Fox International for Pan Asia, Captive Entertainment for the Philippines, MVP Films for Vietnam and Sam Films for Iceland. Open Road will release the film theatrically in the U.S.

The Canada/South Korea copro is produced by South Korea-based Redrover International, Toronto’s ToonBox Entertainment, U.S.-based Gulfstream Pictures and China’s Shanghai Hoongman Technology. The film follows Spark and his friends as they attempt to stop General Zhong from taking over the universe. It features the voices of Jessica Biel (Valentine’s Day), Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby), Patrick Stewart (Star Trek: The Next Generation) and Susan Sarandon (Enchanted).

Lastly, DDI also announced that key cast have joined Elliot: The Littlest Reindeer, produced by Toronto’s Awesometown Entertainment and Victoria’s Elgin Road.

Actors John Cleese (Monty Python and the Holy Grail), Samantha Bee (Full Frontal with Samantha Bee) and Martin Short (Frankenweenie) will all add their voices to the animated feature, which is being shopped at AFM. The film is directed by Jennifer Westcott and produced by Dan Krech and Lucas Lynette-Krech of Awesometown and Victoria Westcott of Elgin Road.
