Production is underway in the Toronto area on The Wanting, a psychological thriller from producer Rob Heydon.

The feature is based on a short story by Gin de Mesa and Yam Laranas, and adapted for the screen by Milton’s Secret scribe Donald Martin, who also serves as an executive producer on the project. Laranas (The Road) will direct. 

The film follows a young couple who are terrorized by a dark presence after they move into a seemingly perfect New England home. Adam Brody (The O.C.) and Canadian actress Amanda Crew (Silicon Valley) star.

Executive producers on the film are Sid Ganis, Joni Sighvatsson and Martin. The film is produced by The Wanting Film Inc., in association with Out of the Blue Entertainment. L.A.-based Lakeshore Entertainment is handling international sales.
