Deals: CraveTV, Impact Media

Bell Media has secured Xbox One distribution for CraveTV, plus more deals of the week.

CraveTV has made its entire catalogue of content available to its subscribers via Xbox One. The Bell Media streaming service is currently also available on iOS, Android, and Microsoft Windows 8.1, the web, Apple TV, Chromecast, and some models of Samsung Smart televisions. Among the titles currently available via the service are Jason Reitman’s dramedy Casual, HBO’s True BloodOrphan BlackBillions and Homeland as well as Crave original series Letterkenny. Upcoming titles include Blindspot and Lucifer, which will both land on Crave this fall.

Impact Media
Montreal and Los Angeles-based Impact Media has acquired the rights to graphic novel Empress of All Silence. The company will develop, produce and finance a feature adaptation of the series, which was created by Kyle Alexander Smith and Mathieu Caron and published by Montreal-based indie comic studio MNK Publishing. The series, which was first released in 2015, is set in a high-tech future and follows a squad of mercenaries. Impact’s Melamed, Kim Berlin and Francois Garcia will executive produce.

Producer-distributor Lionsgate has acquired a stake in U.K.-based production house Primal Media, the new company launched by Gogglebox Entertainment founders Mat Steiner and Adam Wood (pictured). Read more here.
