Photo Gallery: 2016 Spotlight Awards

Earlier this week, Women in Film and Television Vancouver held its annual Spotlight Awards in recognition of women making outstanding contributions to B.C.’s screen-based industries. Among the winners were producer/director Rachel Talalay, who picked up the DGC Woman of the Year Award, and Gigi Saul Guerrero, who won the Agentic Digital Media Innovation Award. Claude Joli-Coeur, government film commissioner and chairperson of the NFB, was also presented with the Please Adjust Your Set Award, which is given in recognition of major contributions to promoting gender equality in film, television or screen-based media.

The Spotlight Awards gala was held at Performance Works in Vancouver on June 20.
