Under the deal, which covers Canada and the U.S. and which was brokered by CPLG North America, the publishing company will produce a range of new books based on the children’s series under its Simon Spotlight imprint.

The new titles are expected to launch in Canada and the U.S. in 2017.

This is the latest in a series of recently announced Teletubbies licensing deals. Just last week DHX Brands announced six new North American licensing deals for the property. And in May, the company announced it had signed a global home entertainment distribution deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for the physical and digital formats of the series.

The new Teletubbies series debuted on Nick Jr. in the U.S. and on Family Jr. in Canada in May.
