Double Dutch International has acquired the international sales rights to Aaron Woodley’s animated film Spark, featuring the voices of Jessica Biel, Hilary Swank, Patrick Stewart and Susan Sarandon. The Canada/South Korea coproduction is produced by South Korea-based Redrover International, Toronto’s ToonBox Entertainment, U.S.-based Gulfstream Pictures and China’s Shanghai Hoongman Technology. DDI, which recently appointed Mark Padilla as its SVP of sales and acquisitions, is currently shopping the film at Cannes. The film tells the story of Spark (voiced by Biel), who must stop the evil General Zhong from conquering the universe.

The Toronto and L.A.-based distributor sales agent also announced that it has picked up the international sales rights to Super Troopers 2. North American distribution is being handled by Fox Searchlight Pictures.
