Former Bell Media and Brillstein exec Jake Labow has moved into the branded content arena.
Labow has joined Cue Digital Media as VP content, which will see him oversee original content at the multifaceted media co. Cue Digital both produces branded entertainment and represents a portfolio of websites (NFL.com, College Humor) in Canada to advertisers.
Labow is well-known in the Canadian production community, having worked at Bell Media in development and production for its Comedy Central brand, managed his own prodco and most recently, worked as a manager at L.A.-based talent reps Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
The company also hired another two former media co execs to its sales suite, including former Quebecor VP of sales Susan Courtney (now director of news and business, national sales) and Alison Demelis as director, women’s group, national sales, who most recently worked at Bell Media.
