Kitty, the directorial debut from Oscar-nominated actress Chloë Sevigny, is one of three shorts chosen for the closing night selection on May 19.

The film, about a girl who wants to be a kitten and is transformed into one, was produced by First Generation founder Christina Piovesan along with Lizzie Nastro, Michel Merkt and Refinery 29. The short is based on Paul Bowles’ short story of the same name.

Following its Cannes premiere, Kitty will be available to view on the Refinery29 website in June.

The other two films comprising the closing night selection are from actresses Sandrine Kiberlain (Bonne Figure) and Laetitia Casta (En Moi).
