Scripps Networks Asia-Pacific has greenlit Peace Point Entertainment’s Inspired with Anna Olson.

Peace Point developed the show for Scripps Asia Pacific, and the greenlight marks the first time the network has solely commissioned an original series from a North American producer. The show has also been licensed to Shaw Media.

Production on the 10 x 30-minute 4K series will begin in Asia later this month, and will see Olson traveling to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Philippines and Thailand to uncover the secrets behind some of Asia’s best-loved dishes. Inspired will see Olson moving between street stalls and high-end restaurants in order to learn about new ingredients and culinary techniques.

The announcement comes six weeks after a third season of Peace Point’s Bake with Anna Olson was jointly renewed by Shaw Media’s Food Network Canada and Scripps Networks Asia Pacific. The first season of Bake was sold into more than 175 territories globally, with the second season being co-commissioned by Food Network Canada, Scripps Network Asia and Scripps Network UK & EMEA.
