Montreal-based V Media Group has named Jacques Mathieu to the position of director general, content and development.

Mathieu will be responsible for programming and developing all content across V Media’s various platforms, including linear channels V, MusiquePlus and MusiMax.

Prior to joining V Media Group, Mathieu worked for Bell Media/Astral for over 10 years, where he held the positions of director of original production and coproductions for Historia and Series +, and VP of programming and senior director of programming for Ztele. Prior to that, Mathieu was a developer and producer at Zone3. He has also held a number of positions in broadcast news, including bureau chief at CKAC radio and editor-in-chief at Television Quatre Saisons.

Mathieu will start in his new role at V Media on March 7.
