cameraBell Media’s BravoFact has partnered for a second year with Hot Docs festival for the Hot Docs Short Film Pitch contest.

Due to take place on May 3, projects from six Canadian filmmaking teams will pitch their short documentary to a panel of judges and a live audience, with the winning team walking away with $30,000. In September of 2015, BravoFact also pacted with Women in Film & Television Toronto on a new pitch competition, with each team required to have either a woman director or producer attached to the project.

The 2016 edition of Hot Docs takes place from April 28 to May 8. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 26.
