108 Media has inked a distribution deal that will see it acquire the rights to a 44-feature catalogue from California-based Indican Pictures.
108 Media has the exclusive worldwide distribution rights (excluding North America) for all linear and non-linear platforms under the deal, which was led by new head of acquisitions and content strategy Nancy Silverstone and Indican founder Shaun Hill.
The catalogue includes titles such as Omar Ashmawey’s Boiling, Ryan Schmitz’s Downshift, Marcus Shakesheff’s Kamikaze, Kirby Voss’s Love Me True, Ousa Khun’s Red Herring and Chase Mohseni’s Starcrossed.
Indican (not to be confused with Toronto-based IndieCan Entertainment) is a Hollywood-based distributor of indie films.
The news comes one week after 108 announced the hire of Silverstone, as the company looks to expand its activities in genre films, docs and TV series. Silverstone was formerly VP of programming acquisitions at Starz Network.
Other titles in 108 Media’s catalogue include The Boy From Geita, It Was You Charlie and Midnight’s Children.
