With a view to equally representing all creative industry sectors on its board, Creative BC has named six additions to its board of directors, including new chair of the board and partner at Dentons Canada LLP Gordon Esau and incoming vice chair and Force Four Entertainment president Robert Bromley.
Esau, who represents a number of major Hollywood studios and U.S. TV nets through Dentons, replaces outgoing chair of the board Michael Francis, who held the position for more than 23 years. Bromley meanwhile takes over from Colin Browne.
Both Francis and Browne will continue to serve on the board.
The other additions to the board of directors are Watchdog Management’s GM Sarah Fenton, Vancouver magazine and Western Living magazine’s publisher and GM Tom Gierasimczuk, Zynga’s SVP of studio operations Pauline Moller and executive director of Okanagan International Animation Festival 2017 Anne Denman.
Both Browne and Francis will continue to serve on the board alongside other returning members Scott McIntyre, Shan Tam and Jason Dowdswell.
Prem Gill was named as CEO of the not-for-profit organization in September 2015, replacing former president and CEO Richard Brownsey.
