Toronto-based distributor Proper Rights has secured a raft of international deals for its factual and lifestyle titles across Iberia, New Zealand, Italy and Canada.
Discovery in Iberia has acquired Beasts of the Bible (1 x 90 minutes; pictured), an investigative documentary that explores various Biblical creatures through CGI, from Toronto-based Associated Producers; while Discovery Italy has picked up Associated Producers’ Resurrection Tomb: The Jesus Discovery (1 x 60 minutes), an investigation into a “Jesus-era” tomb in Jerusalem.
Elsewhere, New Zealand’s Living Channel has purchased The Holmes Group’s Mike’s Ultimate Garage (2 x 60 minutes), in which TV personality and contractor Mike Holmes and his son Mike Jr. build a modern-day man cave; and Canada’s Historia has taken Cream Productions’ docu-drama series The Civil War Chronicles (6 x 60 minutes), focused on key battles of the American Civil War, including Bull Run, Battle of Atlanta and Gettysburg.
