OMNI orders more Blood and Water

More episodes of the Breakthrough series are in development.

bloodandwater_sized_0.pageOMNI Television has ordered the development of more episodes of crime drama Blood and Water from Toronto’s Breakthrough Entertainment.

The first season of the English, Mandarin and Cantonese-language series debuted in early November and is currently airing on OMNI at 10 p.m. on Sundays. The original order was for eight episodes. Rogers confirmed only that the episodes were in development but not whether or not the new order was for a second season or an extended first.

Directed by John L’Ecuyer, the series follows detective Jo Bradley (played by Stephen Song) as he tries to track down the killer of the son of a Vancouver billionaire. The series is set in Vancouver.

The show is written by Al Kratina and Dan Trotta, produced by Yipeng Ben Lu and Neil Bregman, and exec produced by Nat Abraham, Diane Boehme, Ira Levy, Michael McGuigan, and Peter Williamson.
