Nathalie Brigitte Bustos to depart Groupe V

The head of programming for Groupe V Media will leave the company on Nov. 27.

nbb picGroupe V Media’s head of programming Nathalie Brigitte Bustos is to leave the company at the end of the month, it was announced Wednesday.

Owned by media corp Remstar, Groupe V is comprised of three networks – French-language TV net V, and specialty channels MusiquePlus and MusiMax – all of which Bustos led following Groupe V’s acquisition of MusiquePlus and MusiMax from Bell Media in September 2014.

Beginning her career at Remstar 14 years ago, Bustos worked her way up the ranks in a variety of roles which included production assistant, producer, director of development and director of acquisitions and distribution.

Bustos was later promoted to director of content and development at V Interactions in 2011 and then head of programming and strategic content director a year later.

In 2009, Bustos co-founded Productrices Associées with actress Karine Vanasse. The prodco released its first feature film, Paul à Québec earlier this year, with the film recently surpassing $1 million at the Quebec box office.

Bustos will remain with the Groupe V until Nov. 27 according to a statement from the company announcing her departure. No replacement has yet been named.
