Jensenne Roculan has been named this year’s recipient of WIFT-T’s CBC Business of Broadcasting Mentorship, it was announced Thursday.
The five-day mentorship program will see Roculan learn about production, branding, acquisition, strategy and research from a broadcaster’s perspective. Roculan will receive one-on-one mentorship from CBC staff, with the goal of providing insight into what motivates decisions behind programming, and how the various departments of CBC connect.
Roculan has worked in development, business affairs and production since 2009, and most recently served as a producer on Copperheart Entertainment’s Darknet. She is currently a TV executive at Copperheart. Prior to that, she was an assistant to executive producers on CTV’s Flashpoint, and was also the recipient of the Bell Media National Fellowship Program in 2014.
