PNP acquires Touched with Fire

The Katie Holmes- and Luke Kirby-starrer will be released by Pacific Northwest Pictures day-and-date with the film's U.S. bow.

Vancouver’s Pacific Northwest Pictures has acquired the Canadian rights to Paul Dalio’s Touched with Fire, the company announced Tuesday.

The feature is Dalio’s feature film debut, and had its world bow at this year’s SXSW Film Festival. Roadside Attractions holds the U.S. rights to Touched with Fire, and will release the film theatrically stateside in February 2016. PNP is currently planning to release the film in Canada on the same day as the U.S. theatrical bow.

Touched with Fire stars Katie Holmes and Canadian actor Luke Kirby, and tells the story of two bipolar poets who meet in a psychiatric hospital after they go off their medication. The film was produced by Moonstruck Productions and 40 Acres & A Mule Filmworks. Spike Lee served as executive producer, with Jeremy Alter and Kristina Nikolova producing.

Earlier this week, PNP announced it has acquired all Canadian rights to writer/director Jeremy Thomas’ Ally Was Screaming.
