A day after the Canadian Film Centre revealed the six people selected for its 2015 Slaight Music Residency program, a two-part event was held at the TIFF Bell Lightbox and The Everleigh Club on Sept. 30. Those attending the showcase portion of the evening, held in the Lightbox’s cinema two, were shown compilation pieces of the films and TV shows featuring the participants’ music. Afterwards, graduates of the 2014 Slaight Music Residency took to the stage at The Everleigh Club to perform some of their work for a live audience.

As announced last week, this year’s Slaight Music residents are composers Armen Bazarian, Dillon Baldassero and Emily Klassen and songwriters Ava Kibalian, Casey Manierka-Quaile and Lisa Conway.
