Toronto-based Tricon Films & Television has announced the sale of renovation, food and lifestyle series into various global territories. In Europe, France’s Agence Exclusive France has picked up the hidden camera dating show Love Trap (50 x 30 minutes), while season one and two of Architect Films’ Decked Out (40 x 30 minutes) were renewed by Discovery U.K. Scripps International U.K and EMEA meanwhile have acquired three shows from Tricon: Great American Country’s Off the Map with Shannen & Holly (6 x 30 minutes), Architect’s Extreme Collectors (14 x 30 minutes) and Tricon’s Restaurant Takeover (26 x 60 minutes), which was also picked up by IFP Qatar Airways.
Tricon’s The Expandables (14 x 30 minutes), A Bryk at a Time (28 x 30 minutes) and Architect’s Custom Built (26 x 30 minutes) were picked up by Globosat Brazil. As well, Cloudy South’s Cook Eat China (26 x 30 minutes) was sold to Gusto TV Canada and Living the Life (10 x 30 minutes), a Tricon production, was sold to Miat Mongolian Airlines. Li TV Pan Asia acquired Ocean Entertainment’s Spice Goddess (26 x 30 minutes) and General Purpose Entertainment’s Dining InnVasion (13 x 30 minutes).

Celine Dion has signed on to perform a song for La Guerre Des Tuques (“Snowtime”), an animated feature produced by CarpeDiem Film & TV and distributed by eOne’s Les Films Séville. Dion’s song “Hymne” will appear on the film’s soundtrack, which will be reach stores by this winter. The movie is a remake of the Quebec cinema classic The Dog Who Stopped the War, with Singing Frog Studio handling animation. The film is directed by Jean-François Pouliot and François Brisson.

Toronto-based distributor 108 Media has acquired the global distribution rights to Pinup Dolls On Ice from BGOI Films. Read more about the deal here.
