WIFT-T, Shaw Media launch management program

The Shaw Media Management Accelerator was jointly developed by WIFT-T and Ryerson University's G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education.

Women in Film and Television – Toronto (WIFT-T) has partnered with Shaw Media to launch a new intensive program focused on helping screen-based professionals improve their management skills.

The Shaw Media Management Accelerator program was jointly developed by WIFT-T and Ryerson University’s G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education. The program will launch in October 2015, and cover a number of management principles, including business communications, project management, marketing, strategic planning and financial concepts.

After completing the program, participants will be placed in a mentoring group facilitated by an industry leader who will provide additional guidance and education. Participants who finish the full program will receive a recognition of completion award from Ryerson’s Chang School of Continuing Education.

The program is open to both WIFT-T members and non-members. Participants, who can be both men and women, will be selected by a committee made up of industry professionals including WIFT-T members. Those selected to participate in the program will have to pay the program fee.
