U.S.-based SVOD service Fandor has licensed a curated catalogue of Canadian Film Centre (CFC) short films to be made available on its platform from July 1.
The short films were selected by alumni of CFC’s Short Dramatic Film Program (a concept-to-market filmmaking course) and will be available on Fandor.com from July 1.
Among the CFC shorts currently available on Fandor are Elevated directed by Vincenzo Natali, How To Rid Your Lover Of A Negative Emotion Caused By You! from director Nadia Litz and Oliver Bump’s Birthday directed by Jordan Canning. More films are set to be added in the near future, before the official launch on July 1.
Fandor is a subscription-based VOD service that specializes in indie films, classics and foreign-language titles.
In a similar deal April 2014, Fandor licensed a catalogue of short films from the National Film Board of Canada to appear on its SVOD service.
