Entertainment One has appointed Marci Wiseman to the newly created position of EVP of global business and legal affairs.

In her position, Wiseman will head up a new unit at eOne dedicated to business and legal affairs for eOne’s film and television groups. She will oversee the business and legal affairs activities for eOne’s film and television groups globally, including film and television production, acquisition, international co-production, direct distribution and international sales.

Based out of eOne’s Los Angeles office, Wiseman will oversee teams in Los Angeles, London, Toronto and other eOne territories. She will report to eOne’s global film group president Steve Bertram and eOne television CEO John Morayniss.

Prior to joining eOne, Wiseman served as executive in charge of owned content strategy and distribution at AMC Network. She also previously held the position of head of business affairs at AMC where she launched AMC’s content ownership business, which included the creation of AMC Studios. Series that have come out of AMC Studios this far include The Walking Dead as well as Turn, Halt and Catch Fire, Rectify and the upcoming Fear the Walking Dead.
