Toronto-based 9 Story Media Group has scooped up a new live-action math-centric series entitled Look Kool for international distribution.

Along with the 16 x 22-minute English version, 9 Story will also distribute its French counterpart C’est Wow.

Aimed at kids ages six to nine, the series is produced by Montreal-based Apartment 11 Productions for TVOKids and TFO.

The show uses skits, cartoons and 3D special effects to help host Hamza and his mischievous robot cat as they show viewers how geometry is in everything, from roller coasters to ice cream cones. In each episode, kids help Hamza solve a math mystery.

Look Kool is the latest Apartment 11 offering to be distributed by 9 Story. It builds on a longstanding relationship that saw 9 Story distribute the company’s science-based show Finding Stuff Out.
