Turbo Kid, directed by a Montreal collective, won the audience award in the Midnighters sidebar at South by Southwest Festival.

The action comedy, directed by the Montreal collective Roadkill Superstar, comprising Anouk Whissell, François Simard and Yoann-Karl Whissell, debuted at Sundance in the Park City at Midnight program before screening in Austin, Texas.

The Canada-New Zealand coproduction stars Michael Ironside, Munro Chambers, Laurence Leboeuf, Aaron Jeffery, Edwin Wright and  Romano Orzari.

Anne-Marie Gélinas, Benoît Beaulieu, Ant Timpson and Tim Riley share the producer credits for Turbo Kid, which will be released in Canada in November 2015. Raven Banner Entertainment has the Canadian distribution rights to Turbo Kid (outside Quebec).
