Tricon Films & Television has picked up six new series from Steve Rotfeld Productions (SRP Productions), including the travel series Awesome Adventures and the sports series Lighter Side of Sports.

The Toronto-based producer and distributor acquired 90 half-hour episodes of Awesome Adventures, and 26 half-hours of Lighter Side of Sports. It also picked up World’s Most Dangerous Sports (2 x 60 minutes) and the Sports Gone Wild (26 x 30 minutes).

Outside of sports and travel, Tricon also acquired SRP Productions’ Independence USA (16 x 30 minutes and 2 x 60 minutes), which follows a family as they decide to live off the grid, and Whaddyado (49 x 30 minutes), an educational program that looks at what people would do when they are presented with real-life dilemmas.

Pennsylvania-based Steve Rotfeld Productions other credits include The Haney Project, the sports anthology series Greatest Sports Legends, Wild Weddings and Wild About Animals.
