Insight Productions bolsters executive team

Insight Productions has promoted showrunners Erin Brock, Lindsay Cox and Mark Lysakowski to SVP roles and upped Rahmiel Rothenberg to a VP position as the company looks to expand its global business.

The management team now includes the three showrunners, as well as Rothenberg as general counsel and VP, legal and business affairs, VP of finance Susy Papais, COO Barbara Bowlby and CEO John Brunton.

The expansion was prompted by recent new business opportunities, Brunton told Playback Daily, with three possible new ventures in the works.

Insight has recently put a heavy focus on acquiring new IP, he explained, adding that the company is looking to expand its digital presence, examing opportunities such as a Canadian comedy channel that similar to Funny or Die.

Brock, Cox and Lysakowski will continue to produce and develop content for Insight.

Brock’s credits include Big Brother Canada, Battle of the Blades and Canada Sings. Cox has worked on The JUNO Awards, Deal or No Deal Canada, Never Ever Do This At Home and Hatching, Matching and Dispatching. Lysakowski serves as supervising producer on The Amazing Race Canada, and was showrunner on Top Chef Canada and Canadian Idol. His responsibilities also include developing new programming for Insight.
