Laura Pearce has made a move from AOL Canada to Blue Ant Media, joining the company in the new role of VP, brand strategy and fan engagement.
Pearce had been with AOL Canada for over three years, overseeing the Canadian office’s marketing and communications for its consumer and trade brands, including The Huffington Post Canada, StyleList Canada and Adap.tv.
In her new role at Blue Ant Media, Pearce will be focused exclusively on the consumer side, working to build the media co’s brands in Canada and internationally.
“It’s an exciting new role and completely consumer-focused,” Pearce says. “It’s a reflection of how digital media has changed the marketing mix, that fan engagement is such an important part of the mix.”
Pearce will report to Jamie Schouela, EVP, marketing and communications, Blue Ant Media, who she previously worked with when both were at Canwest.
Last week Blue Ant Media announced it would be creating a new outdoor media company, Outdoor Group Media, with Vancouver-based Keywest Marketing with each of the company’s owning 50% of the enterprise.
