eOne’s Zak Storm flies into production

Entertainment One’s new CGI animated series Zak Storm has been greenlit and will soon head into production with Zagtoon, Method Animation and eOne Family.

The 39 x 30-minute series was created by American studio Man of Action (Ben 10, Generator Rex, Ultimate Spider-Man), and will be directed by Philippe Guyenne (the Iron Man animated series). It’s scheduled to start delivering next fall and will air on multiple broadcasters, including France’s Gulli.

Aimed at kids ages six to 11, Zak Storm is about a regular kid who gets sucked into the Bermuda Triangle during a surfing competition. Suddenly the captain of an otherworldly ship, he sets sail with a crew of misfits.

eOne has global distribution rights to the series, which will be available for presales at MIPCOM.
